Teeth Whitening at Sharples Dental

Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic treatment designed to brighten your smile and enhance your overall appearance. It uses safe, effective whitening agents to break down stains and lighten your natural tooth colour.

Treatments can be carried out in-clinic or at home with custom-made whitening trays, giving you flexibility and convenience. Non-invasive and relatively quick, teeth whitening delivers noticeable results, boosting confidence and leaving your smile looking fresh and vibrant.

Before starting any whitening treatment, it’s important to consult with a dentist. They will ensure the procedure is suitable for your teeth and help you achieve the safest, most effective results. If stains are holding you back from smiling freely, professional teeth whitening can help restore your confidence and your shine. If chips, gaps or uneven edges bother you too, ask us about composite bonding or porcelain veneers.

What Causes Staining and Discolouration?

Your smile is often the first thing people notice, so it’s understandable to feel self-conscious if your teeth aren’t as bright as they used to be. But discolouration isn’t always about poor oral hygiene, there are several factors that can dull your teeth over time.

Enamel, the outer layer of your teeth, naturally thins as you age, revealing the yellowish dentin beneath. Additionally, lifestyle habits, such as smoking or regularly enjoying coffee, tea, and other staining foods, can also leave marks that accumulate gradually.

The good news? Professional teeth whitening can lift these stains and restore your teeth’s natural brightness, giving you a radiant, healthy-looking smile you can be proud of. Results vary from person to person — our blog explains how long teeth whitening usually lasts and what affects it. You can also read 5 reasons to consider professional teeth whitening.

I managed to get an emergency appointment with this dentist within 2 hours of me ringing after trying for 2 weeks to get an urgent appointment with my dentist .from going into the reception to seeing the dentist there was nothing but professionalism. The receptionists were happy and polite and the dentist and her dental nurse I have nothing but praise for . They were very kind , made me feel at ease and more to the point made me feel very welcome which was very much appreciated . I was treated paid my bill and left with the feeling that I am actually considering changing from my own dentist my experience was so nice . Nothing like my dentist .

I put off going to the dentist longer than I should has I’ve had less than satisfactory service in the past, leaving me very apprehensive. Sharples was recommended and I was not disappointed. Rebecca performed an extraction today, and my actual words on completion was “Wow” the procedure was over in minutes and totally pain free. Thank you

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After struggling with a very old crown on my molar tooth, pain and the old crown falling out, I needed a practice nearby with great reviews. Last night, I woke with pain and contacted Sharples Dental based on their customer reviews through their webpage. At 9.00am today I was called by the receptionist to offer an urgent appt. I was seen at lunch time same day, X-ray taken which showed an infection. The tooth (what was left of it) was beyond repair, so I was offered an extraction the same day or to choose a later date, so chose to get it over with. The staff were all so caring, professional and the practice is modern and welcoming. I can definitely recommend Sharples Dental practice and it will be the practice I’ll be using from now on.
