Teeth Straightening in Bolton

Crooked, overlapping or gappy teeth can make you self-conscious about your smile. If you are looking for braces in Bolton, clear aligners are a more discreet way to straighten your teeth. At Sharples Dental Practice on Blackburn Road, Bolton, we offer Invisalign® clear aligners, so you can straighten your teeth with minimal disruption to your daily life.

Who is teeth straightening for?

Straightening can help if you have:

By correcting overcrowding and gaps, straightening can also make your teeth easier to clean. Your dentist will assess your teeth at your consultation and tell you whether treatment is suitable for you.

Clear aligners or traditional braces?

If you want straighter teeth without traditional metal braces, Invisalign® clear aligners are an alternative to fixed braces. They are clear, smooth and virtually unnoticeable when worn, with no metal brackets or wires.

They are also removable, so you can take them out to eat, drink and brush your teeth as usual, which helps you keep up good oral hygiene during treatment.

Clear aligners with Invisalign®

Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to move your teeth gradually into position. Dr Mozammel Haque is our Invisalign® provider. You change to the next set of aligners about every two weeks, and you wear them for around 22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, drink, brush and floss.

You can read more about the treatment, including the Invisalign® options we offer, on our Invisalign in Bolton page.

What happens at your consultation?

  1. We listen. You tell us what you would like to change about your smile.
  2. We check. Your dentist carries out a thorough assessment and takes digital scans of your teeth.
  3. We plan. From the scans we create a personalised treatment plan that maps out how your teeth will move from start to finish.
  4. You decide. Our consultations are judgement-free and no-pressure.

How long does treatment take?

The number of aligners you need depends on your own teeth. Treatment can take from a few months to over a year, and some patients begin to see noticeable improvements in just a few months. Your dentist will talk you through what to expect for your case.

Retainers: keeping your teeth straight

After straightening, teeth can gradually shift back towards where they started, so a retainer helps you keep your results. Clear retainers are made from transparent plastic, custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth, and they work best when worn as directed.

How much does teeth straightening cost in Bolton?

Invisalign® Dual Arch treatment at Sharples Dental starts from £3,000. The cost depends on your own treatment, and you can see our other treatment fees on our fees page.

Other ways to improve your smile

Straightening is not the only way to change how your smile looks. For small chips, gaps or uneven edges, ask us about composite bonding or porcelain veneers. Many patients also like to whiten their teeth, and you can read about professional teeth whitening in Bolton.

I managed to get an emergency appointment with this dentist within 2 hours of me ringing after trying for 2 weeks to get an urgent appointment with my dentist .from going into the reception to seeing the dentist there was nothing but professionalism. The receptionists were happy and polite and the dentist and her dental nurse I have nothing but praise for . They were very kind , made me feel at ease and more to the point made me feel very welcome which was very much appreciated . I was treated paid my bill and left with the feeling that I am actually considering changing from my own dentist my experience was so nice . Nothing like my dentist .

I put off going to the dentist longer than I should has I’ve had less than satisfactory service in the past, leaving me very apprehensive. Sharples was recommended and I was not disappointed. Rebecca performed an extraction today, and my actual words on completion was “Wow” the procedure was over in minutes and totally pain free. Thank you

After struggling with a very old crown on my molar tooth, pain and the old crown falling out, I needed a practice nearby with great reviews. Last night, I woke with pain and contacted Sharples Dental based on their customer reviews through their webpage. At 9.00am today I was called by the receptionist to offer an urgent appt. I was seen at lunch time same day, X-ray taken which showed an infection. The tooth (what was left of it) was beyond repair, so I was offered an extraction the same day or to choose a later date, so chose to get it over with. The staff were all so caring, professional and the practice is modern and welcoming. I can definitely recommend Sharples Dental practice and it will be the practice I’ll be using from now on.

I'm a very nervous patient and not been to the new dentist since it was taken over. Hannah really put my mind at ease and was so lovely. She explained everything in detail to me before having anything done.
